I have been a client of Ute's for over 8 years. I came across Ute's practice when seeking relief from crippling back pain, due to an injury. I left the first session pain free for the first time in 2 months. Each session I have had with Ute has left me feeling balanced, calm, nurtured and healed. Ute is a not only an accomplished professional practitioner, but is also a naturally gifted healer. Ute's eclectic combination of Acupuncture, Cupping, Moxibustion and Craniosacral treatments is tailored to suit each individual. A true example of where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. I cannot recommend Ute highly enough. You will leave your session a different person than when you went in.

I have been a client of Ute Strenger's of Noosa Acupuncture for over four years. Ute is my acupuncturist of choice on the Sunshine Coast. Her combination of acupuncture and craniosacral work is unique and I feel 100% better after each session. I first went to see her for adrenal fatigue and never looked back. She has helped me in so many ways with her nurturing presence and intelligent use of her chosen modalities. Every time I feel my nervous system truly relax, it's amazing! I now travel a whole hour to see her as I have not found anyone who uses the same approach. It's totall worth it!

Several years ago I arrived at Noosa on a holiday with nerve pain, which was then producing migraines. I thought that my holiday was going to be lying on my bed swallowing pain killers. I decided acupuncture was worth trying and lucked upon Ute. Within two sessions I was well, pain free and ready to have my very much needed holiday. Since then, as soon as my holiday in Noosa is booked, I book sessions with Ute knowing that I will arrive exhausted and be needing her attention. She is a wonderful practitioner, knowledgeable, skilful and intuitive. I cannot recommend her more highly.

I've experienced many treatments with Ute and I keep coming back because as a professional musician I need to make sure that my heart, mind and body are all in harmony. In much the same way as I tune my cello before a performance, Ute makes sure that I am also centered, balanced and "in tune".

My enjoyment of a holiday is often compromised by the aggravation of a lower back problem by the journey to go on holiday and managing heavy suitcases. The combination of the calm, relaxing environment of her practice and Ute's skilful treatment meant I didn't need strong pain killers this year. I would highly recommend to others.

QIs Noosa Acupuncture highly rated?

With a 5.0-star rating from 11 Google reviews, Noosa Acupuncture is one of the highest-rated providers in the area. Patient reviews are a helpful way to get a feel for the quality of care and service you can expect.

QHow much does a session cost at Noosa Acupuncture?

Fees are not listed here, so it is worth asking when you book. Across fifteen Australian clinics that publish their prices, an initial consultation runs $100 to $190, with most sitting between $105 and $145. Follow-up sessions run $50 to $130, most commonly $80 to $120.

The first appointment costs more almost everywhere, typically $20 to $40 more, because it includes a case history alongside the treatment and usually runs longer. Roughly a quarter of clinics will not quote you a full price list online.

Three things worth asking on the same call: whether herbs or cupping are charged separately — they usually are — whether the clinic offers on-the-spot health fund claiming, and what the cancellation policy is, because some charge a full session fee inside 24 hours.

QCan I claim a session at Noosa Acupuncture on Medicare or private health?

Private health, usually yes. Acupuncture sits under natural therapies on most extras policies, generally pooled with remedial massage under one shared annual limit. As an example of the shape, HCF's Top Extras pays $40 a visit with an annual limit rising from $300 to $500 by year three, and nib's Top Extras pays 75% back against a $400 combined limit. Waiting periods of two months are standard. Recognition is fund-by-fund, so check that this practitioner is recognised by your fund before booking.

Medicare, only if your practitioner is a doctor. The four MBS acupuncture items all require a medical practitioner. A registered acupuncturist who is not also a doctor cannot bill them, and no other item covers their services. Acupuncture is also not on the eligible list for a GP Chronic Condition Management plan.
