I started seeing Amie whilst trying to conceive my second child; Initially seeking assistance with stress management and ‘answers’ as to why I hadn’t yet been successful in conceiving. However what I received from my visits to Amie and Sakura were more than I could have ever expected. From the very first appointment Amie gave me a dedicated space to speak and feel heard. She provided the holistic piece to my TTC puzzle that I had been greatly missing. Her care and kindness were constantly matched by her depth of knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail. She continually goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and empowered; providing exactly the right resources and approach that really made a difference to my life. During my time seeing Amie I fell pregnant with my second child and went on to have a beautiful healthy baby boy. Whilst I cannot definitively say acupuncture was the reason I fell pregnant, what I can say is I would not be where I am today without Amie’s guidance and support. It was exactly what I needed, and at a time I needed it most. Thank you Amie.

I always walk away from Amie's appointments feeling 10 x better than when I walked in. Her space is clean, beautiful and inviting. Amie is skilled, kind and a great listener. I am so grateful to Amie as she helped me through conception, pregnancy and postpartum. I can't recommend Amie enough. I always love finishing my session with one of her lovely teas in a cute Japanese ceramic cup - a beautiful touch.

Amie is always very welcoming and I always look forward to my fortnightly sessions. Amie is open to hearing my ideas/thoughts/beliefs and is excited for me when I have progress in my healing, whether it be from acupuncture or another modality. Her support and care is only a small part of what I appreciate from Sakura Acupuncture Clinic. I am blessed to have found Amie and her clinic and recommend wherever/whenever I can. Love n hugs Amie x

Sakura Acupuncture Clinic offers a range of acupuncture and wellness treatments including Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Fertility Support, Stress & Anxiety, Women's Health, Pregnancy Support. Contact them directly to learn more about specific treatments or to schedule a consultation.

QIs Sakura Acupuncture Clinic highly rated?

QHow much does a session cost at Sakura Acupuncture Clinic?

Fees are not listed here, so it is worth asking when you book. Across fifteen Australian clinics that publish their prices, an initial consultation runs $100 to $190, with most sitting between $105 and $145. Follow-up sessions run $50 to $130, most commonly $80 to $120.

The first appointment costs more almost everywhere, typically $20 to $40 more, because it includes a case history alongside the treatment and usually runs longer. Roughly a quarter of clinics will not quote you a full price list online.

Three things worth asking on the same call: whether herbs or cupping are charged separately — they usually are — whether the clinic offers on-the-spot health fund claiming, and what the cancellation policy is, because some charge a full session fee inside 24 hours.

QCan I claim a session at Sakura Acupuncture Clinic on Medicare or private health?

Private health, usually yes. Acupuncture sits under natural therapies on most extras policies, generally pooled with remedial massage under one shared annual limit. As an example of the shape, HCF's Top Extras pays $40 a visit with an annual limit rising from $300 to $500 by year three, and nib's Top Extras pays 75% back against a $400 combined limit. Waiting periods of two months are standard. Recognition is fund-by-fund, so check that this practitioner is recognised by your fund before booking.

Medicare, only if your practitioner is a doctor. The four MBS acupuncture items all require a medical practitioner. A registered acupuncturist who is not also a doctor cannot bill them, and no other item covers their services. Acupuncture is also not on the eligible list for a GP Chronic Condition Management plan.
