Athira has earned my respect and gratitude for the transformation that I have experienced. I had no idea that acupuncture, being given by a therapist who has an innate knowledge of the Chi energy flows throughout the human body, could bring so much relief from chronic conditions! After my first treatment by Athira, I walked out of her room feeling like a heavy weight had been lifted from both my mind and my body. Having been trapped in Complex PTSD and severe Anxiety for the last 15 years, complicated further by bone on bone Arthritis in both knees, I was not expecting to feel any results at all from one acupuncture treatment. To my surprise and delight, I left that initial treatment astounded, and in awe, of the instantaneous energy shifts that Athira had activated within my body and mind. In 5 sessions, Athira’s treatments saw me releasing stagnant energies and past traumas which had been long held within my body. This surprised me because for 3 years, I had been having weekly 1:1 sessions with psychologists and they had not been able to facilitate the same level of forwards momentum in my mind and body that Athira achieved. The calmness and presence that Athira brings to each person’s treatment is a vital part of her brilliance as an acupuncture practitioner. As she listens to your body, she determines which particular acupuncture needles will be used on which particular Chi channel for that day’s session. I cannot understand how acupuncture can remove the pain from Arthritic knees however, I do not doubt the transformation: for me to climb stairs by putting one alternate foot on each step is nothing short of miraculous. Prior to commencing therapy with Athira I had to swing my hips and shuffle my legs to the side, with my knees kept straight, in order to ‘walk’ on a flat surface. Now, I am able to bend my knees and lift my feet when walking and I smile because I am enjoying the feeling of being more mobile. In a short period of time, Athira has changed my life for the better on many levels. Thanks to Athira’s inherent connection to life’s energies, her intrinsic understanding and knowledge of the power of acupuncture, the professional and considered manner in which she undertakes each treatment and the amazing outcomes that I have experienced at her hands, I highly recommend Athira if you desire a transformation in your life.
